Abstract

Bob Dylan’s song “The Death of Emmett Till” initiated his protest songwriting, which was later criticized by African American scholars. The subject of black writing is the white blood and geopolitical community, the audience is the whites, and the theme is the refutation of white supremacy, through studying the three levels of community in the lyrics. It shows that the white-dominated discourse influences minority writing profoundly, and it is necessary to get rid of the self-centered mindset to promote interracial discourse equality.
